There is a giant in my room!

Random thing of the day:

Last night there was a giant in my room. I'm guessing it had gone about 2 in the morning when I finally decided enough was enough I must go to sleep. So I lent over and flicked the switch on my lamp that is pirched on my bed side table. Suddenly there was an almightly rumble that shook my entire room!

I have never encounted a Giant before! well to be honest I still am yet to meet the notorious giant that lurks deep beneath my bed or bedside table (not to sure where he is hiding). I have heard stories though, of one of the most memoriable stories being 'The BFG' what a scary but wonderful story.

Within seconds of the almighty rumble. I quickly switched my lamp back on. And to my suprise the giant had dissapeared without a trace....

NEWS OF THE DAY:

Dreams for me play a big part of which makes me, me. I have a such an imagiative mind which cannot always be itself during the day (I think if it did people would start to look at me funny, more than they already do now). But at night it is let loose to create crazy and beautiful things...

Here is an artist who I think represents dreams fantastically. The bizarre images she creates are very calming she does this by using very tranquil colours that seem to sooth you.

Jane Gifford, for the past decade she has been recording her dreams in writing, painting, printing, drawing and video.

In this particular image it feels to me as if it should be in slow motion. It intrigues me how dreams are just so random!

I remember when I was younger and how I used always insist on telling my dad about the crazy dream I had the night before. His reply was always ''channan you need to keep a book beside your bed to record your dreams first thing in the morning while its still fresh in your mind'' I always answered with ''yea, I should really.''

I never did though... maybe I should start now?

My top 5 most wanted items of the week! (and other news)

As you can probably tell from the title of this blog, this is a list of items I would most like to have/own this week. If anyone reads this who may want to buy or give me any of the items listed below please DO NOT hesitate to contact me!
There will also be a weekly quote and general news section and any other random thing I may want to add at the end of my weekly list.

#5. OK, so I love this pom pom hooded scarf! But sadly due to lack of rain, cold weather etc. I would never be able to use this :( But a definite contendor.

#4. So this wasn't actually my choice for number 4. I asked my house mate Beth what should be in my top 5 for this week and this was her answer... An astronaut suit! Not a bad choice I mean you never know when you may need an astrounaut suit these days.

#3. Oh yes!!! The Dwight Schrute bobble head :) For those of you who do not know who Dwight Schrute is... QUESTION: where have you been?!! He is by far the best character from The American office ever! Other than Jim but thats only because I'm in love with him :/

'' Security in this office park is a joke. Last year I came to work with my spud-gun in a duffle bag. I sat at my desk all day with a rifle that shoots potatoes at 60 pounds per square inch. Can you imagine if I was deranged?''

One word... Brainius! (Beth, Becky you know what that is!)

#2. Who would of thought it? A pizza cutting aparatus because obviously the old fashioned way of cutting a pizza is so 2000 and late!
I love it! Dont you??!!

#1. Drum roll pleaseeeeeeee!!! finally this beaut comes #1 in my books! I ABSOLUTLY adore it!
They also do this top in mustard and in the oversized sweatshirt and t-shirt variety... but this is definately my fav!
YUMMMMMY!

THE NEWS:
I was told on Wednesday whilst at work that school would be shut down for 2 whole weeks! Due to H1N1 virus. Only two cases have been diagnosed in our school so far but unfortunatly our department recieved some bad news today. A young boy in grade four passed away today, it has been said that he was misdiagnosed and mistreated in a hospital . This is all we know so far... his brother is currently ill with H1N1 virus. This must be such a devasting time for his family, my thoughts are with them. R.I.P

Random thing of the day:
Becky, Beth, Yousef and I had chinese for dinner this evening. I had kung pow, which was verrrrrry spicy! spicier than usual. I was slightly disapointed when I learnt that there was only one, YES ONLY ONE!, peanut in the entire meal (although I am yet to finish it. But that does not count as I should have had atleast 4 or 5 in that section that I ate) so grrrrrrrrr to that!
